History

PECO is a forward-looking company.

A lot has changed in recent years. We have grown steadily, integrated new technologies and gained new employees.

But we also have a tradition. Because we have been around since 1919!

1919

Wilhelm Peltzer founds the company “Peltzer & Co. Schrauben- und Drahtkurzwaren”.
Production of screws and wire haberdashery made of metal and trade in related parts

1930

Expansion of the production program through the use of wire pin presses and thread rolling for the production of pins and threaded parts

1951

Production and sales is taken over by the son of Wilhelm Peltzer.

1970

Takeover of the company by Ulrike Hirsch (née Peltzer) and her husband Dieter Hirsch

1972

Production of the first thermoplastic plastic parts with our own in-house manufacturing facility.
Expansion of the production area in the “Ersten Strasse” in Neuenrade.

1975

New building and relocation to the industrial area Neuenrade

1979

Two more production halls are added, the injection moulding capacities are continuously increased by new machines, the in-house manufacturing facility is expanded.

1992

Construction of a completely new administration building, the production area is extended to approx. 8,000 sqm.

1995

Certification according to DIN EN ISO 9002

Sale of the company, takeover by Jens Ludwig and Achim Buschhorn

2004

2007

Extension of the control unit program: adjustable feet, pull handles, PECO@traktion-line

2019

In 2019, we celebrated a very special occasion:
our 100th company anniversary.
A century full of innovation, passion, and partnerships.

Just in time for the anniversary, we also completely redesigned our website.

2021

Investment in our largest injection molding machine to date (up to 500 tons clamping force) to meet new customer requirements and projects.

From 2022

Expansion of production through the first investment in energy-efficient Dr. BOY injection molding machines of the 22 A and 25 E series.

From 2024

Acquisition of (so far) two new Dr. BOY 50 E machines including complete peripherals for energy-efficient and cost-effective 24-hour production.
